More than 50 gigs to be held as a part of Metal United World Wide on May 5

This Saturday, on May 5, a series of metal concerts to be held in various countries around the world as a part of the event Metal United World Wide. In total, more than 50 shows are planned in Europe, Asia, Australia, North and South Americas.

One of the concerts will take place in Kyiv, Ukraine, featuring metal acts Downwind, Thy Despair, Arhat, Depth, Smothering Silence, Lethargy, and Pr3gnant Whor3. Another event, with the Ukrainian bands Paganland and Sectorial, will be held in Kaunas, Lithuania.

Below is the announcement from the organizers:

"On May 5 this year, the Metal Community will come together for a united event, Metal United World Wide. To overcome the distances between the widespread individual communities, shows will be organized in around 50 cities around the world on the same date under the united banner. All continents (except Antarctica) are in. Canada, the US, Germany, Ukraine and Australia are probably the less surprising participants. The Central and Latin American countries as well as Turkey, Indonesia, Thailand and India should not come unexpected either. But how about Kenya, Zimbabwe and Gabon? And did you know that Papua New Guinea, Mongolia and Lebanon have a Metal Scene? Even war-torn Syria is planning to join the party with a show in Damascus. Currently 50 countries are participating and some others are considering to come on board as well."

On May 5, one will be able to watch a live stream from some concerts of the event via Metal United World Wide website.
