Immortal — Immortal is recording material for new album
Immortal

The Norwegian black metal band Immortal starts to record new material. It's reported on the group’s official Facebook page.

The guitarist Harald 'Demonaz' Nævdal, being one of the band’s founders, created the material based on his visions of Blashyrkh (the metaphysical world) for nearly 25 years. Some of the songs "Northern Chaos Gods", "Called To Ice" and "Blacker Of Worlds" will appear on the new Immortal’s album.

"IMMORTAL never stopped, we just had to go through a long legal process before we could go out in the media with the news. IMMORTAL is much more than just a band, and much more then just a form of music. The departure of one member cannot change that, no matter. We will continue what we believe in, and the power of "Blashyrkh" shall live on."

According to the press release, in October 2014 the group’s former leader Olve 'Abbath' Eikemo filed an trademark application for registration of the brand Immortal to Patentstyret (Norwegian Industrial Property Office), without informing the other members. The rest of the band, the guitarist Harald 'Demonaz' Nævdal and the drummer Reidar 'Horgh' Horghagen, were forced to seek legal help to counter this. As a result, Eikemo was denied to the exclusive rights to Immortal’s name and logo on July 21.

Earlier, Noizr Zine has posted a view of Immortal’s ex-leader on the happened events. Abbath, who left the group this March, formed his own self-named project.
